How are you doing with scheduling posts in advance? Do you do it, or only post once or twice a week or as time permits?
I have been hard at work the last number of months since I created the Food and Beverage Holidays list. I know this is specific to Food Bloggers, but it's an immense huge help to me, as now I am able to see which post to prepare and
can schedule them well in advance. I already have posts scheduled as far ahead as April 2023 and this all due to the National list I prepared, and the Calendar I created for myself. It's an .xls calendar and I can use it year after year as I make one minor change and then the spreadsheet will automatically populate the dates for each year. Magic, I must admit.
The reason is that I am now working on the National and International Food lists and it's all-time sensitive. I am scheduling posts to get them in at least 3 months prior to the National Day and hope and trust that G.O.O.G.L.E. will pick them up in time.
Once I have done the post, I automatically do the pins for Pinterest, Instagram, and Twitter and schedule them as well via Publer which I am unable to work without.
OK, another HUGE, and the biggest reason for me for scheduling so many posts, (100 posts), and that's to schedule up to end of October before the end of July!
WHY would you ask am I doing this to myself? Well, I have not informed anyone, but maybe its time to spill the beans.
We are moving house mid September (after 16 years) and I am trying to get all my 'ducks' in a row to give myself some downtime and know that my blogposts and SM will still go out on time. I will be able to pop in but time for posts and SM will be limited. OK, now you know my "why".
